My review:
I am giving this book a rating of 4 out of 5.
Interesting historical details and vivid descriptive language immerse you in a world of mystery, intrigue, and adventure.
The viewpoint characters, Klara and Miranda, are well-written and believable, which is a testament to the author’s storytelling skill.
If you enjoy delving into historical politics and like reading stories with a twist, look no further than The Caspian Amulet! It took me a few chapters to get into the story, hence my rating, though I hadn’t read the first book in the series and didn’t pick up on some of the relevant storyline details until I’d made it a little further into the novel.
Although I do believe this book works well as a standalone, I’d recommend reading this novel as part of the series, in order to make the most of its sweeping scope and cast of fascinating characters.
(P.S. I love the cover of this book! It’s so nicely designed and fits the themes of this story perfectly.)
