Hello? Anyone there?
I know, I know, it’s been a while (a couple of years, in fact o.O). But, plenty has changed since I last created a blog post of my own…
If you’ve been following me for a while (thank you!), you’ll probably notice a few changes across my website. For instance, my older blog posts are now classified as ‘Archive’ because they’re illustrations of past chapters that don’t necessarily reflect the latest era of my story. This means there’s a lot of refreshing, new Dannika Writes… content just waiting for you to discover it 🙂
- Why I’m avoiding AI.
- The perils of ghostwriting.
- Take a break for your writing.
- A sneak peek at my 2026 projects so far.
- My self-editing process.
Something else you may notice, if you peruse the other pages of my website, is that I’ve been busy working on a variety of literary projects under pseudonyms other than D.E. Kendall. The YA sci-fi fantasy series I’ve been developing since early 2015 has been a huge part of my journey as an author – despite none of those books being of a publishable standard, yet. I’ve had to develop my literary skills to become the calibre of writer needed to do justice to a series that’ll be dyslexia-friendly with a neurodiverse protagonist, which inspired my exploration of writing in other genres and formats to help hone my craft.
To explore the stories behind each of the pseudonyms I’m using right now, and find out what’s happening with my current literary projects, you can visit the following posts:
And, finally, besides losing my wonderful grandmother and uncle in January this year, perhaps the biggest challenge I’ve faced recently was being made redundant from a job I loved. The experience hit me harder than I could’ve imagined, which is something I delve into in my post titled Reeling from redundancy.
That’s it from me for now. I’d love to reconnect with my wonderful readers and write about topics that truly interest you, so please feel free to leave a comment on this post or send me an email to let me know what to write about next!
As always, infinite thanks for your support 🙂
Best wishes,
Dannika <3
