Hey, there!
How are things? Good? I’m glad 🙂
So, you may be wondering who on earth this ‘Dana Cadelle’ woman is and why the heck she keeps popping up on the D.E. Kendall website.
Well, Dana Cadelle is a shiny, new pseudonym I’m using to write standalone novels and short story collections aimed at older audiences (so, not children’s or YA). The reason I’ve chosen to write under different pseudonyms is to make sure the types of books I create are not confused for one another – since it’d be a disaster for a YA reader to pick up a rom com or women’s contemporary fiction novel written for adults!
Your next question could very well be something along the lines of why ‘Dana’ and ‘Cadelle’? And my answer is simply that ‘Dana’ includes letters from my first name – Dannika – in a coherent order, and ‘Cadelle’ sounds a little like ‘Kendall’.
Additionally, I thought it was pretty cool (do people still say ‘cool’?) that the name ‘Dana’ apparently means “wise”, “a gift”, or “beautiful pearl”, depending on its origin, and ‘Cadelle’ is said to have Celtic roots that reflect a “warrior” type of energy – which I felt was apt, given the level of resolve and resilience needed to become a successful author.
Next, I assume you’re thinking about where to find these Dana Cadelle books created for adult-only audiences.
To answer your question, you can find books I’ve written as Dana Cadelle by following this link to the Horseshoe Books website. You’re welcome 😉
Right, I’m off to continue working on my next Dana Cadelle novel… Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
Best wishes,
Dannika <3
